1960s
Elvis Presley
Movies and soundtracks ruined Elvis' musical career for the large part of the 60s, but after his 68 Comeback Special, Presley got serious and he made a ton of great music to close out the decade.
Best songs: In the Ghetto; Little Less Conversation; Suspicious Minds
The Rolling Stones
I like the Stones a lot. They didn't get caught up in hippie crap. They were just pure rock n' roll, they stayed true to the music.
Best songs: Paint It Black; Satisfaction; You Can't Always Get What You Want
Cream
I think Cream was Eric Clapton's best band. And his guitar playing automatically puts this band on the map.
Best songs: Crossroads; I Feel Free; Sunshine of Your Love
1970s
ABBA
ABBA is without a doubt the best music group ever, with a sound that is completely unique. I have not yet come across a song by them that is not in its own way enjoyable.
Queen
As a band, their voices blended with such ease and perfection that you can't help but be mesmerized. Easily the greatest band ever, not just of the 70's.
Pink Floyd
Pink Floyd put out their best work during the 1970s. it has the strongest, most down to earth, brilliant and honest lyrics I have ever heard.
1980s
Guns N' Roses
an American hard rock band from Los Angeles formed in 1985. The classic lineup consisted of vocalist Axl Rose, lead guitarist Slash, rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin, bassist Duff McKagan, and drummer Steven Adler.
U2
Some albums that are produced, you like one song here and there. U2 reminds me of Journey. Every song on the album is great... So there is no skipping, you just let it play on through from start to finish..
